Tuition
Missed Lesson Procedure
Practice means success! School, sports and life battle for attention every day. I work with students to help them set reasonable goals, to find times and ways to practice piano to ensure progress. Music relieves stress. It nurtures emotional health. If daily practice isn't possible, we come up with time management ideas. The student and circumstances are carefully considered. Not every student has the same issues. I so understand that! Yes, it is possible to be flexible, tohave a sense of humor and to still hold the highest musical standards!
Teacher, Parents and Students make a great team working and having fun together!
- Tuition is divided into 10 equal payments due the 15th of each month, August through May.
- The 2022-2023 piano school year has 34 lessons Monday through Saturday.
- Breaks are scheduled according to the major school holidays. Halloween is always a day off.
- Lessons are charged by the duration of the lesson- 30 minutes for pre-schoolers, 45 and 60 minutes for all other ages. Lessons can be scheduled once or twice a week.
- Families who make 3 tuition payments instead of 10 monthly payments will have 3 make-up lessons to their credit. Families paying monthly tuition will be allowed 2 make-up lessons. There are no tuition credits or refunds given for lessons missed over the 2 or 3 limit
- New students starting lessons after the official start of the piano school year will have tuition adjusted accordingly.
- Lesson rates: 30 Minute Lesson = $38 * 45 Minute Lesson = $48 * 1 Hour Lesson = $64
- Tuition example: 34 Lessons x 30 minute rate of $38 = Total of $1,140.. Divided by 10 months, monthly payment = $114.00
- Tuition payments may be made via Zelle, Venmo or check.
Missed Lesson Procedure
- Students may have two or three make-up lessons for the academic year, depending on tuition plan elected.
- Online lessons (via Google Groups, FaceTime or Forte), are available and encouraged for whatever reason. Useful for snow days, icy days, "no ride" days and sick days (Students are expected to stay home if they are or have been sick!). Online Lessons may be part-time or full-time. High speed internet at home is necessary for the bet online experience.
- Lessons cancelled due to teacher issue, either my illness, or a family event, will be made up during the last two weeks of June.
- At the Lesson
- Parents are invited to be present at lessons., even online! It, in fact, is preferred by the teacher! If a parent knows what has been worked on, and what is expected, the parent will be their student's best helper at home when needed.
- Students are expected to keep a lesson notebook for assignments notes, attendance record and practice records.
- If lessons are at the studio, siblings are required to sit quietly in the waiting area provided. Noisy video games and snacks are not permitted. Reading books or doing homework is encouraged!!
- Currently masks are still required in my home studio. I see many students from different school districts and we work in close quarters. Mask wearing helped me resume in-person lessons safely. I expect at some point, it won't be necessary anymore. Fingers crossed!
